Who will support your ministry efforts?
“For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well.” —Psalm 139:13-14
We are one week into our study and I commend you for remaining committed to your evangelism training. I hope you are feeling more confident in your ability to share the Gospel and energized to continue. Even when someone turns you away and refuses to hear about God’s love, you can still find joy in knowing you are carrying out the Great Commission. You have joined the ranks of believers committed to living a soul-impacting, world-changing life!
Truly, there can be no greater joy than helping someone discover and trust in Jesus Christ. We’re going to take these foundational concepts and apply them to potential situations with women facing unplanned pregnancies. We’ll learn techniques to offer hope and show alternatives to abortion. Whether you speak to a woman in a private conversation during your daily routine or shout to one entering an abortion clinic, you will be equipped to handle the encounter.
Before we go further, let’s first talk about support. The Pocket Testament League is always here for you. We hope you’ll turn to us for prayer, in addition to using Pocket Testaments and our training resources. You can use our website or download our mobile app to submit a prayer request. We’d also love to hear how your efforts are going. Members around the world share their experiences ministering with Pocket Testaments, and those messages are always encouraging and insightful. Throughout this study, we’ve used member testimonials to illustrate some of the concepts. What a blessing it is to learn from one another!
Beyond The Pocket Testament League, I want you to think about support within your own inner circle. Especially if you’ll be ministering at an abortion clinic, it is highly beneficial to go out in teams. Even if the team is only two people, having someone who shares the ministry passion can boost you both to keep going when things feel daunting. If you started this training alone, I encourage you to invite someone else along for the journey. Consider asking your Sunday School class or community group to participate. Sometimes people just need the invitation to get involved.
We’re going to repeat yesterday’s mission to share the Gospel. I know there’s the possibility that some of you might have read yesterday’s email without taking action. So this is your chance to act! Remember to let go of the fear and cling to Jesus instead. He will empower you to share His Word. Just ask Him for help!
For those of you who completed yesterday’s task, I applaud you. Way to give it your all, and put your learning into action. I hope today’s challenge will show you that it does get easier the more you do it. Tuck a Pocket Testament in your purse, backpack or pocket and head out to a populated area, praying God will show you someone you can give it to.
That’s it: one person, one conversation, one time today. Go for it!
Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying for my sins, bridging the gap between God and me, and drawing me closer into a relationship with you. Thank you for your Holy Word that inspires and comforts me. I want to learn more about how to take all that I know about you and share it with others. I believe if we shared your Word more, we would see a shift in the culture and a renewing of faith worldwide. Please continue to strengthen and equip me to serve as your hands and feet in my circle of influence. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for loving me. Amen.

- Before continuing to dive deeper into the Pro-Life ministry, have you established a support system? Maybe it’s just one or two people or maybe it’s entire small group, but who is praying for and encouraging you in your ministry efforts?
- And in contrast, who can you lift up in prayer right now for their own ministry efforts?
