The Trek Thru Romans - Day 9
Sometimes when you think you understand something, you begin to then talk yourself out of it.
Last week we read how we are inseparable from God through Jesus! As you “take in” this reality, maybe your mind begins to think about your family and friends. If so you are not alone. You may remember, we wound our way through the first four chapters of Romans.
Read Romans 9 and then consider my thoughts below.
It is so good to be standing on the peaks of grace and faith with you.
Your brother in God’s Family,

- Have you ever felt anguish over someone who did not know Christ? What were you willing to do and what kinds of sacrifices could you make to reach them with the Gospel?
- How often do you pray for people in your life who don’t know Christ? Think about three people today who don’t know Jesus. Write their names down and commit to pray for their salvation and for you to have an opportunity to share the love and message of Christ with them.
- Have you ever had a hard time understanding God’s sovereignty in salvation? Do you ever think it is unfair that He doesn’t save everyone? These are hard concepts to grasp. It is hard to really wrap your mind around how God works and how we are responsible. What should be our response when we don’t understand the depths of God’s character and works?
- What are some evidences of God’s grace and mercy in your life that you can be thankful for? Take some time praising and thanking God for His grace and mercy in your life.
