The Trek Thru Romans - Day 8
I know the last chapter was hard. Sometimes when you are climbing you come out of a deep thicket and get to stand on a ledge or plateau and take in an amazing view. Welcome to chapter 8!
This chapter begins with the word “Therefore”, which is huge, and it ends with the idea that we are “Inseparable from God when we are in Jesus”, which is huger (I know that is not a word!).
Rejoice in the good news that in Christ you are eternally “super-glued” to Jesus.
Never Separated from My Savior,

- The word “therefore” in Romans 8:1 is a big THEREFORE! Whenever you see this word you should ask, “What is therefore, there for?”What is the connection in what Paul says in Romans 8:1 to what he says in Romans 7?
- How does knowing that you are eternally set free from condemnation in Christ motivate you to live your life for Christ? What specific things in your life would be different if you meditated on this truth every day?
- Romans 8:28 states that God works all things for good to those who love God, who are called according to His purpose. How is this verse encouraging to you? What is the ultimate good that God works out in our lives when we are suffering or when we are in the “all things” (see verse 29)?
- Have you ever felt like God doesn’t love you? Have you ever felt that you have perhaps blown it so big that maybe He doesn’t want anything to do with you anymore? What does Romans 8 say about this mindset? What does it say about God’s love for His children? If you are a Christian, can you, anything, or anyone else separate you from God’s love?
