The Trek Thru Romans - Day 13
Today’s title, “It Depends” may put you off a little. It may sound like I am being “relativistic”. Trust me, I am not. We do not have a lot of chapters left. Paul gives a small amount of advice about “how to live as a Christian” to people who live in the center of an Empire...they live in Rome!
Yet what we are receiving are timeless principles...like the kind you find in verses 12-14.
Take a read through Chapter 13 and then see what you think about my thoughts..
I am praying for you to have wisdom in all of those “it depends” moments,

- According to the principles and commands in Romans 13, how would you answer the question, “What is Christianity’s responsibility or relationship to the government?”
- We are told in God’s Word to obey the governing authorities over us. In what situations is it hard to obey? In what situations should we not obey the government?
- How can Christians graciously yet boldly stand up to the government when it calls us to compromise God’s Word? What sacrifices will we have to be willing to make to take a stand for truth in a situation where government has become oppressive or hostile to Christianity?
- How can we continue to be ambassadors of God that share the Gospel of Christin our nation that has seemed to turn its back on God? (see Romans 1)
