You never know when the Lord is using you in another person’s life.
We get up in the morning, go through our routine, head to work, and all the while, God has been preparing us for one providential moment.
This happened with Marie from Yorkville, IL as she was teaching ESL at a local community college. During class, a phone rang with the Muslim prayer ringtone. Some students opened into a friendly discussion about religion and the Bible. The most vocal in the conversation were two Muslims, two Catholics, and an atheist.
As the conversation progressed, the Muslim turned to Marie and asked, "Teacher, do you believe in God and the Bible?"
I like to think of myself as bold. In my mind’s eye I see myself proudly shouting the Word of God from the mountaintops. But when it comes down to it, often times I’m scared to death. I’m timid with my friends; I guard my words on Facebook.
When Jesus appeared to Peter after he denied Him three times, He did not judge or reprimand him. Instead, Jesus prepared Peter a meal & offered him undeserved grace (John 21).
Marie was “not given a spirit of fear, but of power and love and sound mind.” (2 Tim. 1:7) Because of this, she could boldly say, “Yes.” Marie shared her faith with the class and passed out the Gospels of John the following week.

“I know that God's word will not return void. Sometimes, all we can do is plant the seed of salvation as opportunity arises. The Pocket New Testament Gospels of John are these seed packets, which I will now have a stash of in my car! I want to be ready in and out of season to give an answer for the hope that lies within me...and share it boldly” - Marie from Yorkville, IL
